Our small rural school houses grades 3-8 and our elementary teachers earned an E2T2 grant which provided brand new technology for their classrooms. One day my students had become frustrated with a html project. One of the students said, "If you had a whiteboard like the elementary, you could show us exactly how this is supposed to look!" So we decided to enter the contest to try to win one and improve learning in our classroom. As a class, the students chose their song, re-wrote the lyrics, and planned their storyboard. One of the class members sang the song, while others ran the camera and appeared in the video. With guidance from me, the class used video editing software to prepare their movie for submission. This was a whole new learning experience for the students, as well as for the teacher! The enthusiasm and excitement the students had for this project was fantastic! Thanks for providing such a great learning opportunity for the students!
