Crank that Interwrite is a parody of the song “Crank that Soulja Boy” otherwise known as the Superman Song. Several students worked on the lyrics and the music then came up with the idea for the video. After the storyboards were complete, they went to work with the video camera. Others worked on Windows Movie Maker to edit and create the video. Students in the Mrs. Rogers’ computer class created avatars for the video and one was selected to be used in the video. The students worked cooperatively to come up with scenes to go along with the lyrics. The video begins when one student (the singer) presents the contest to the school by way of announcement in the auditorium. He then goes about school singing about the Interwrite pads and telling everyone to vote for our video. He intermittently transforms into his avatar self (a 3D model of one’s self used on the internet). He visits a classroom where the teacher is using her pad and all the students are engaged. The class is working on creating an avatar and she makes the lesson more entertaining by allowing the students to use the pad and input throughout the lesson. He (the singer) then goes into a class where the teacher is writing on the board with her back to the class. Some students are trying to see around her so that they can see what she is writing, while another has dozed off and begun to snore. The singer gives the teacher a pad to use so she can engage the sleeping student and move out of the student’s way. “Our students and teachers really love to use our Interwrite School Pads”, he sings and encourages everyone to vote. The video ends with an actual .avi video file from a school pad directing everyone to the Interwrite Learning website to vote for Malone High School. This is a great feature to use for absent students and teacher WebPages.

Very cool and CURRENT song! Excellent sound quality. I would have loved to see some "Soldier Boy" dancing, but video was great nonetheless. good job!

This video is great. Really neat how you tied in the avatar and the avi movie at the end. Lots of different transitions makes it interesting. Great use of the Interwrite. This one gets my High School Vote.
